Víctor O. Acevedo-Hernández, Esq. is a Capital Member at Casillas, Santiago & Torres, LLC (CST), where he is part of the firm’s Litigation and Labor Department. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, criminal and regulatory matters, internal investigations, and dispute resolution matters in Puerto Rico and Florida. He advises individuals and businesses in high-stakes disputes and sensitive matters that require strategic thinking, practical judgment, and careful handling.
Before joining CST, Víctor worked in public service for more than a decade, including as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico. In that role, he investigated, prosecuted, and supervised numerous complex and high-profile cases at both the trial and appellate levels. He also represented the United States before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. His experience includes matters involving fraud, financial crimes, tax offenses, organized crime, and money laundering.
Víctor has been recognized for his work with the Attorney General’s John Marshall Award—the U.S. Department of Justice’s highest honor for legal performance—on three separate occasions.
Drawing on his background in government investigations and litigation, Víctor helps clients navigate complex and often sensitive legal challenges, including internal investigations and matters involving parallel civil and regulatory exposure. He works closely with clients to assess risk, respond to allegations, and develop effective legal strategies. His experience handling sophisticated misconduct matters also allows him to identify and pursue civil claims across a wide range of legal issues, guiding clients through high-stakes disputes with clarity, discretion, and a practical, results-oriented approach.
